About me

Hello! I’m Asha Marie Oommen, a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, where I earned a B.A. in Cinema and Media Studies with a minor in Entertainment Industry. I’m a multi-hyphenate creative pursuing writing, directing, acting, and more.

At USC, I co-founded and served as Creative Director of SCene Magazine, an on-campus culture publication. I launched its multimedia and video production departments, directing content that explored new themes each semester. I also performed with the award-winning Trojan Dance Force, taking the stage at PAC-12 and March Madness.

Beyond campus, I gained hands-on experience as a Film Development Intern at Miramax and Luxhammer, where I deepened my understanding of the studio side of filmmaking. Most recently, I made my voice acting debut as a character in Warner Bros.’ animated film The Cat in the Hat.

I’m currently in post-production on my short film Sound Bites, a story inspired by my journey of being diagnosed with progressive sensorineural hearing loss as a child and learning to embrace it. With a growing body of work and a clear creative vision, I’m passionate about telling stories that reflect underrepresented perspectives and celebrate the beauty of difference.
